Test Day Nerves, Above-Average Instructors and an Overdue Visit Down South—It’s Our Top 5 Pass Photos From December!

Collage of December pass photos

Guys, we did it! We made it to the end of another year. Let’s face it, we all deserve a pat on the back for getting through 2019 in one(ish) piece! The world may feel more divided than ever, but Christmas is a time of coming together. What better way to get into the holiday spirit than bonding over a few top pass pictures?!

That was a rhetorical question, because now you’re here you have no choice. Ho ho ho!

So, before the snow (fingers crossed!) melts and your Gran gets a bit too carried away on the sherry, let’s have a gander at our favourite pass pics from the month of December. Enjoy!

Nerves shmerves

For the first of our top pass pics we need to head over to Leeds in West Yorkshire to pay a visit to Gemma. Having already put in quite a few hours behind the wheel, she came to PassMeFast looking for a quick refresher course and fast-tracked test. So, that’s what we gave her! Gemma completed our 10 hour course with instructor Iftikhar and was soon heading to her practical test.

As her appointment loomed, Gemma was hit by a dreaded case of the test day nerves! Luckily, Iftikhar was able to calm her down and she soon returned looking like this:

A winner! Looks like instead of tripping her up, the nerves just spurred her on to achieve her driving dreams. Ready to be extra impressed? Gemma passed her test first time with a completely clean sheet! Zero minors and zero reasons to worry. Nice one, Gemma! We hope you’re enjoying making the most of that brand new licence.

The perfect 10

It’s a case of different county but same course as we move onto our next top pass picture. Zak had already built up some driving experience with a previous instructor, but figured a 10 hour PassMeFast course would give him just enough time to perfect the manoeuvres and get test-ready. And would you believe it, he was spot on!

After completing his hours with instructor Wayne in Greater Manchester, Zak moseyed on down to his local practical test centre and came back with one of these:

A practical test certificate and a satisfied smile! Zak was no doubt too busy celebrating his achievement (deservedly so!) to stick around for a chat, but his lovely Mum did have this to say:

“Booked a 10 hour course for my son to work on his manoeuvres and this morning he passed his driving test. The service from PassMeFast was brilliant from start to finish and Elliot our CX Adviser was great, booking his test and arranging his instructor who was called Wayne. Wayne taught Zak and put him at ease straight away and was very punctual. Thank you to all the team and would definitely recommend.”

Bravo on that first time pass, Zak! Enjoy hitting the road this Christmas.

A Sham-azing result!

Hope you saved your parking receipt because we’re heading straight back to West Yorkshire to meet the next driver on our list. This time we’re off to Bradford, where PassMeFast student Emma resides. She liked the idea of block booking lessons, but needed a course that could fit around her busy work schedule. The solution? A semi-intensive approach. Yep, PassMeFast offers that too! And for some people, like Emma, it’s very successful.

But we’re getting a little ahead of ourselves. Emma went for the 30 hour course and worked with instructor Shamsher on everything from basic steering to mastering the parallel park. Once she had the skills in the bag, it was time to put them to the test in front of a DVSA examiner! Here’s the result:

A first time pass! And a pretty darn impressive one, too. Emma managed to complete the whole thing with just 2 minors on the mark sheet. Nicely done! This is the feedback she had for her CX Adviser:

“Thank you so much for all your help. Sham was absolutely amazing!!”

It’s all about getting a good instructor people! Well done, Emma and ‘Sham’ (we’re not even on nickname terms with him yet!) on a great result!

A shift away from the stick

Anyone else starting to feel like a yo-yo? It might be because we’re gonna swing back to Greater Manchester again! Here we find Serena, who became a fully qualified driver this week after completing PassMeFast’s 25 hour course. The secret to her success? The decision to skip all that clutch work and settle for an automatic course. A stick shift isn’t for everyone, and if you think changing gears is an unnecessary struggle, you can always opt for the automatic option.

We set Serena up with automatic instructor Darren and, soon enough, this happened:

Woohoo! A first time pass and one very happy qualified driver. Brilliant job, Serena! We wish you the best of luck in your driving future.

Zero to hero

Hi, southerners! You didn’t think we’d leave you out 2 months in a row, did you?! Of course not! In fact, one of your brethren has the honour of being our final top pass photo of 2019. No pressure then! What’s most exciting about this pass story, for us at least, is that it comes from a county PassMeFast has only recently moved into. We’re talking, of course, about Hertfordshire.

Ashley was completely new to driving, so went for our ultimate beginner’s package: the 48 hour course. As you can tell from the fact that he’s made our list, the whole thing went very well indeed. With the help of his instructor Ravi, Ashley was able to transform from a total beginner to a safe, confident driver. Seems like the DVSA agree with us, too, because check out Ashley now:

Yep, he’s the owner of one well-earned practical driving test pass certificate. Passed first time, too—love that for you, Ashley! Time to hit the road and put those new skills to good use. Very well done!

So long 2019!
