Over 170 Passes in 1 Week—And Counting!

Collage of first week pass photos

It’s officially the 1 week mark since driving tests restarted in England and Wales, and we have been absolutely blown away by the skill and determination shown by our lovely learners. In just 7 days, over 170 PassMeFast students have had driving test success and earned a licence!

Behind the numbers are lots of fabulous learner drivers, so let’s put some faces to those stats. Here’s a quick look at just some of the learners who have been able to cast off the L plates this week…

George from Manchester

George had a little bit of driving experience and a theory test certificate already under his belt when he contacted PassMeFast. Being about halfway through his learning journey, he went for our 20 hour course with a fast-tracked test. As a result of the pandemic, poor George had to deal with a few frustrations! First the DVSA closed down their entire booking system, so nobody could get a test. Then, when we jumped onto the new system and secured his test, it ended up being cancelled because of the third lockdown. Nightmare!

George never gave up, though, and spent the first few weeks out of lockdown working on his driving skills with his instructor, William. The two barely had time to squeeze in the hours before George’s test day arrived on Friday! Thankfully, George was ready and raring to go by then, and this happened:

He passed first time! We even received this lovely 5 star review from George’s Mum:

“My son has just passed his test first time. He had an awesome instructor called William. Unfortunately due to Covid he couldn’t fit all his hours in but with the expertise and guidance of William he passed with flying colours. Thanks William and PassMeFast.”

Well done, George! Good luck on the roads!

Angela from London

Heading south, now, where we meet PassMeFast student Angela. She had a bit of experience in a manual car, but decided it just wasn’t for her. Every learner is different—which is why we offer both manual and automatic courses!

Now that Angela had a clear idea of what she wanted, she booked our 48 hour automatic course, along with a theory and practical test. We set her up with local instructor Ali, and the two hit the road to start Angela’s transformation to qualified driver.

As is the case with all learners trying to get their licence during the pandemic, Angela had to deal with a few cancellations and delays. She was a real pro, though, and remained very understanding and patient throughout. That great attitude paid off, because this was Angela just a few days ago:

Clutching her pass certificate that she earned on the first attempt! Here’s how she described her PassMeFast experience:

“The best team and instructor, pre and post a difficult year for a first time driver. PassMeFast have been outstanding. Not only did they match me to the perfect instructor, but any questions that I had always elicited a prompt reply. I have no doubts that without the national lockdowns I would have passed my test even earlier! Shoutout to Elliot who was professional at all times and Ali my driving instructor, who was honest, funny and a great instructor through it all.”

Thank you so much for your kind words, Angela! You should be really proud of yourself. Congrats!

Rhianna from Surrey

Staying in the same neck of the woods, but drifting into a new county, we meet learner driver Rhianna. She’s already given the practical test a shot once before, but it didn’t go to plan. That was before she had PassMeFast on her side! We set her up on a 20 hour course with top notch instructor, Mansoor, and they got to work on Rhianna’s chosen area of focus: the manoeuvres.

Parallel parks polished up and pulling up on the right perfected, it was soon time for Rhianna to head to her test.  This time there was a very happy ending:

Rhianna came out of it a fully qualified driver—yay! She was even nice enough to leave us a short but very sweet review:

“Mansoor was such a calm instructor and gave me such confidence to finally pass my test! PassMeFast has been such a help from beginning to end and kept in contact so well!”

Much appreciated, Rhianna. Great job!

Clarke from Leeds

Fast may be in our name, but we also appreciate that for some people, life gets in the way and learning to drive can’t always be a top priority. Even if this is the case, we won’t give up on getting you passed! PassMeFast student Clarke can vouch for this.

He’s a professional sportsman, which means his schedule is fairly hectic and he is required to travel on a regular basis. Add to this a bout of illness and a global pandemic, and you have a pass story littered with a few delayed tests! We pride ourselves on building a course around your schedule, though, so it was no problem for us to rearrange Clarke’s lessons and tests whenever he needed it.

Despite the various spanners that were thrown in the works, Clarke always put in 100% effort when it came to his driving. This week it all paid off:

He passed the driving test first time with just a handful of minors! A top result—excellent work, Clarke!

And that’s a wrap on week 1 of post-lockdown driving tests! A big congratulations to all of the learner drivers who have passed their driving test this week. It’s not been a straightforward or easy ride, so you’ve really done yourself (and us) proud! If you missed it, be sure to checkout the rundown of some of our first day back passes.

Ready to get started on your own PassMeFast journey? Take a look at our course options online or give us a ring on 0333 123 4949 to find out more. Now is a great time to start checking off those life goals!

Until next time, good luck and happy driving!
