Our Pass Photo of the Week—Lee from Leeds!

Hello again! 2021 may not be off to an ideal start, but the good news is that we still have some top pass photos up our sleeve! Now, obviously, driving tests and lessons are currently suspended across the UK. Thankfully, though, while we were off trying to enjoy an unconventional Christmas period, a slew of PassMeFast students were out hitting the roads in an attempt to earn a licence— and many of them were successful!

We decided that a great way to lift everybody’s spirits would be to take a look at some of the star pupils who managed to pass their tests just in the nick of time. Let’s start with our first top pass photo of 2021!

This week’s top pass photo of the week goes to… Lee from Leeds!

Lee’s pass story

Lee already had quite a bit of previous driving experience by the time he learned about PassMeFast. As he just wanted to polish up his existing skills and make sure he was really test-ready, he booked one of our refresher courses and a fast-tracked practical test. We soon managed to secure Lee a suitable appointment at Leeds practical test centre. With this in the diary, he hit the road with local instructor Brady to complete his lessons.

As is the case for many students learning to drive at the moment, Lee was no stranger to the ups and downs of learning to drive in a pandemic. While it was great that he could get out of the house and practise a new, useful skill, he did have to put up with delays and last-minute cancellations. Case in point: the second lockdown came into force just before Lee’s test date. As a result, it was swiftly cancelled. Argh!

Lee remained optimistic, though, and patiently waited for his rescheduled test date to arrive. Funnily enough, this turned out to fall just one day before we were plunged into a third national lockdown—ahh, what times! He managed to squeeze in his remaining lessons just after the holidays and passed his test on the FIRST attempt, right before everything was shut down again. Phew!

Way to play it cool, Lee! Well done on passing your test despite the time pressure. We’re glad someone has something to smile about!

Look to the future

We know that things are not looking so great on the old driving front right now. If 2020 has taught us anything, though, it’s that lessons and tests will not be suspended for long! The government recognises the importance of this life skill and last year many people still managed to earn a driving licence. It just takes a bit of extra patience at the moment. Prepare for the unexpected and try to remain positive and focused.
