Our Pass Photo of the Week—Ayesha from Fleet!

Cartoon of gold trophy

And we’re back! Yes, PassMeFast is delighted to say that even though driving tests are few and far between because of the ‘rona, we are managing to secure emergency tests for essential workers. That’s right—this ain’t no Throwback Thursday type of deal. We have a brand spanking new pass photo to share! So, gather round and listen up as we celebrate the driving achievements of a key worker that impressed us for a whole host of reasons.

This week’s top pass photo of the week goes to… Ayesha from Fleet!

Pass photo of PassMeFast student Ayesha

Ayesha had quite a journey when it came to earning her driving licence. Things started off well when she signed up for PassMeFast’s 20 hour manual course. Though she hails from Hampshire, Ayesha’s hospital job requires her to work in Warrington, so we set her up with top-notch local instructor, Noel. The two got together and started to work on the areas she had highlighted that required improvement: parallel parking, roundabouts and junctions.

Then all of a sudden, the first spanner was thrown in the works. The DVSA cancelled Ayesha’s test at the last minute because of bad weather—booo! Thankfully, she took it in her stride and we organised a new practical test date. The second spanner in the works soon arrived in the form of a global pandemic. Not ideal. Noel began to self-isolate, Ayesha was very busy at work, and the entire country went into lockdown.

The good news for everyone is that the DVSA recognises that driving is a key skill. While most people will have to wait for test centres to fully reopen before they can complete their driving journeys, the DVSA are providing emergency tests for essential workers. Ayesha’s key worker status was soon confirmed and we were able to secure her a brand new test appointment.

From that point on Ayesha did all the rest (with a little help from Noel)! She passed her test FIRST time and can now hit the road with her brand new licence. Congratulations Ayesha and a big thank you for all of the hard work you do as an essential worker. Bravo!

Don’t give up on your driving dreams

If you’re a key worker looking to learn to drive ASAP, get in touch with PassMeFast on 0333 123 4949. We can contact the DVSA on your behalf and help get an emergency test date in the bag. We even offer a 10% discount for all NHS workers!

Not an essential worker and worried you’ll never get to earn a licence? That is not the case! We’re already getting people booked in on courses so that they can hit the road running when the lockdown is lifted. Have a gander at our course options online, or give the team a ring to discuss your options. Whatever you do, don’t give up on your driving dreams! The pandemic won’t last forever, but your desire to cast off those L-plates will.

Until next time, good luck and happy isolating!
