Meet a Booking Agent: Jordan

Meet a Booking Agent: Jordan

Welcome to another edition of our Meet a Booking Agent series! This is where we introduce the team that make our driving courses happen. Working tirelessly behind the scenes, they’re the ones booking practical tests, assigning instructors, and generally keeping things running. In this edition, we’re introducing Jordan. Our longest-serving Booking Agent, Jordan has been with PassMeFast since 2016, and is now Bookings Team Leader. Let’s hear about her experience working at PassMeFast!

About Jordan

Age: 23

Do you have a driving licence? Yes.

At what age did you pass your test? 17.

How many times did it take you to pass? One.

What was your first car? A Renault Clio.

What car do you have now? I don’t—I cycle!

What’s your dream car? A VW Campervan.

What do you do to relax? You’ll find me in the pub with a pint of pale ale, probs.

What are your hobbies and interests? Roller derby, snowboarding, yoga, beer and travelling.

Jordan at PassMeFast

When did you join PassMeFast? In August 2016.

What made you decide to join PassMeFast? I had just moved to Manchester and was looking for something new.

What’s your favourite thing about being a Booking Agent? My team—being surrounded by lovely & hardworking people all day, everyday!

What’s the funniest thing that’s happened since you started working at PassMeFast? When Adam revealed that he thought the popular saying ‘dog-eat-dog world’ was actually ‘doggy dog world’. He had been getting it wrong for his whole life, lols.

What’s your favourite pass story? I had one student this summer who really needed to pass before he moved out to China. I had 2 weeks to get his theory, lessons, and test sorted. We pulled it off and he passed his test with just a handful of minors! Lovely guy too!

What’s the most common problem learners come to you with? Struggling to pass the hazard perception part of the their theory test, or finding it hard to manage their nerves on the day of their practical test.

What’s the best piece of advice you’d give to new drivers? Pay attention to the roads and signs when you’re a passenger in a car with friends or family—you’ll be able to apply this when you’re behind the wheel.
