While we here at the PassMeFast Blog love to keep our readers updated on all the need-to-know info from the world of driving, it’s nice to take time out to appreciate the people that keep things running smoothly here in our office. That’s why, once a month, we profile a different member of our tireless bookings team in our Meet a Booking Agent series.
This month, it’s Anthony‘s time to shine. Having joined PassMeFast in the spring of 2018, he’s been the booking agent for a whole host of passing students—over 230 of them! Let’s hear from the man himself in his own words below.
Do you have a driving licence? Yes
At what age did you pass your test? 22
How many times did it take you to pass? Two.
What was your first car? Fiat Punto Sporting.
What car do you have now? Vauxhall Insignia SRI VXLine.
What’s your dream car? Audi RS6 Avant.
What do you do to relax? Long drives when I get the time.
What are your hobbies and interests? Having 2 children and running a local scout troop takes up all of my leisure time and gives me lots of great experiences—I wouldn’t change that for the world. I am a petrol head so anything with an engine is interesting! I also enjoy taking trips to the battlefields and memorials of the First and Second World Wars.
Anthony at PassMeFast
When did you join PassMeFast? March 2018.
What made you decide to join PassMeFast? The culture and potential of the business.
What’s the funniest thing that’s happened since you started working at PassMeFast? I think my colleagues would agree that it certainly isn’t my rubbish dad jokes! The cat probably provides the most laughs and entertainment around the office.
What’s your favourite pass story? Every student’s pass is the most important thing to them at that moment so it is to me. I do enjoy people who have overcome adversity to get their licence, their sense of achievement at that point is massive!
What’s the most common problem learners come to you with? Lack of confidence is the main issue.
What’s the best piece of advice you’d give to new drivers? Once you have passed your test this is the most exciting but also scary time as you are independent but don’t have somebody with another set of controls to help. Get out and drive as often as you can as this will boost your real world driving knowledge and confidence.
