Failsworth Driving Test Centre Closure

As of Friday 15 September 2017, Failsworth test centre has officially closed. This means that you’ll no longer be able to take your test there. The Failsworth staff have now been moved over to Chadderton test centre which will act as a replacement site. Pupils will be able to take driving tests at Chadderton from Monday 18 September 2017. Before you start worrying about how this will affect you, you should know that there are plenty of other test centres that you could take your practical at.

Alternatives to Failsworth test centre

If you’re located in the Manchester area and you were thinking of taking your practical at Failsworth test centre, these centres are the closest alternatives:

Please be aware that there will be a temporary closure of Salford test centre from December 19th, so you’ll have to choose another test centre. Alternatively, if you’re looking at a wider area, there are various test centres in Greater Manchester including: Atherton, Bolton, Bredbury, Bury, Cheadle, Hyde, Rochdale, Sale, Salford and West Didsbury. These centres tend to offer tests from 8am most days.  So it doesn’t matter where you live in Greater Manchester, you’re completely covered.
