Meet an Office Pet: Zephyr

Every now and then, we like to give our readers the opportunity to take a peek behind the curtain of PassMeFast HQ. So far, you’ve had the chance to meet some of our top instructors and hard-working booking agents. This month, we thought we’d give you an extra treat…

Yes, it’s finally time for us to introduce one of the most valued members of the team—Zephyr the cat! Since the summer of 2018, our little stress buster extraordinaire has been providing cuddles, comedy and capers for the whole office to enjoy. Get to know more about him below!

About Zephyr

Age: 1 year and 3 months.

Do you have a driving licence? Dude, I’m a cat—that would be, like, super dangerous. Plus, I’m so cute that I can blag a lift anywhere I want…

What’s your dream car? Not really interested in cars tbh. I would happily trade kitty cuddles for a decent cardboard box, though.

What do you do to relax? Stare at people until they pet me, sniff Softmint wrappers, daydream about the demise of my enemies… the usual.

What are your hobbies and interests? Well, I’m a pretty active guy and this body doesn’t maintain itself. You can usually find me chasing balls of tin foil or stalking the other animals in the building. Oh, and if you throw a biro my way, there’s a 90% chance I’m gonna wrestle with it.

Zephyr at PassMeFast

When did you join PassMeFast? July 2018.

What made you decide to join PassMeFast? I was told there would be constant belly rubs, plenty of toys to play with and a biro collection that has to be seen to be believed. So far it’s lived up to the hype.

What’s the most enjoyable thing about being an office pet? I get lots of attention (pretty much got chin tickles on tap) and there’s loads of things to see and do.

And the most frustrating thing about being an office pet? That damn fire alarm.

What’s the funniest thing that’s happened since you started at PassMeFast? One staff member (who shall not be named) doesn’t seem to find me as cute and charming as the others do. So, I waited until he was taking a particularly serious phone call, hopped onto his desk and meowed loudly in his face for 5 minutes. Honestly, I thought he was going to take a swipe at me. It was totally worth it.

What’s the most common problem people come to you with? Hmmm. I get a lot of ‘That food isn’t for you!‘, ‘Get your head out of my drink‘, and ‘What’s that god-awful smell?‘.  In terms of things I can actually help with, though, having a feline friend around the place really boosts morale and I have it on good authority that my snuggles are second to none.

What’s the best piece of advice you’d give to new drivers? You know that rumour that if you see a cat on the road ahead of you during your driving test you just have to keep driving? FAKE NEWS!

What’s your proudest moment as an office cat? The first time I managed to escape into the hallway—you should have seen their faces! Pandemonium.

Until next time…

Sadly, we’re limited to just one office pet at the moment, but there are plenty of other members of our fine team you can get to know. Have a browse of our Meet a Booking Agent series to get a further glimpse into life at PassMeFast.

Until then, if you’re eager for more Zephyr-based content (and who isn’t?!), catch him doing his thing over on Insta @zephyrcurl.
