If you’ve been learning to drive for a while now, or you’ve already taken a practical test and failed, you might be wondering what options there are for you. If you’ve already read up on intensive courses v hourly lessons, you might have decided that an intensive course is far more beneficial. But are intensive courses worthwhile for learner drivers who already have a lot of driving experience under their belt? The answer to this problem is refresher courses.
We’re going to take a look at what refresher courses entail, who they’re most suitable for, and where you can find them.
Refresher courses are designed to help people who have already had driving lessons in the past. As the name suggests, they’re centred around helping learner drivers refresh their driving knowledge before they take their practical test. These courses are designed to be short—they are serving as a quick refresh, after all.
The purpose of taking refresher lessons differs depending on the individual learner. Some learner drivers take a refresher course after failing a practical test in order to correct their mistakes before trying again. For others, it’s a case of ironing out bad habits and getting used to the car again after spending months away from learning. Learning to drive can be a long and stressful ordeal, but it can be made much simpler when you choose the right kind of driving course. Not sure your practical was conducted fairly? You might want to look into appealing your driving test.
Why should I take a refresher course?
Refresher lessons are a great way to update and refresh your driving skills. All too often, people book a practical test straight after failing, when they should really spend a few extra hours with an instructor. The same goes for learner drivers who have gone months since their last lesson. A refresher course gives you the chance to sort out your bad habits and get some helpful advice from an Approved Driving Instructor (ADI).
Refresher courses also help you:
- Boost your confidence.
- Become a safe driver.
- Break your bad habits.
- Learn from an experienced ADI.
What refresher courses are on offer?
PassMeFast offers a range of intensive and semi-intensive driving courses for learners with all levels of experience. We also offer learner drivers two types of refresher courses depending on their overall level of driving experience.
Have you recently failed your test? Or are you struggling with a few key areas? PassMeFast’s 10 hour course is perfect for learners looking to figure out where they’re going wrong and improve their confidence before they go in for their practical test. The course typically takes between 2 to 4 days depending on your availability. The ideal candidate for the 10 hour course will have at least 30 hours of driving experience under their belt.
PassMeFast’s shortest course—5 hours—is perfect for learner drivers who are test-ready. Whether you’ve just failed your test or you’re looking to pass your first one, this course is designed to help you iron out any small mistakes. It’s also perfect for helping you fine-tune your driving and get used to the car before your test. It typically takes between 1 to 2 days depending on your availability. The ideal candidate will have at least 35 hours of experience and must be confident with driving independently.
